Goes to the Capitol to promote administration agenda.
On Thursday, President Biden traveled to Capitol Hill to meet with legislators and promote his administration’s domestic policy plan. The president met in private with members of his party in the House to discuss the bill and gave a public speech at the White House following the meeting to express his reasoning for the $1.75 trillion bill. According to a statement from the White House, “President Biden is confident this is a framework that can pass both houses of Congress, and he looks forward to signing it into law. He calls on Congress to take up this historic bill.”
The final details of the bill have not been released at this time, however, it is expected to include funding for childcare, efforts to address climate change, expanded healthcare coverage, and affordable housing. During his remarks at the White House, President Biden said that, if passed, the bill “will fundamentally change the lives of millions of people for the better.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For members of the House to have wisdom on the best way to vote on this measure.
- That the efforts of Congress and the White House would result in a stronger future for the country.
- That God would help the Senate to vote according to His will in the coming days.
